Hyosung in partnership with DSK currently sells four models in India. The GT 250R, a quarter liter sport bike. The GT 650R, a 650cc sports bike. The GT 650N, a naked with the same engine. The ST7, a 700cc V-Twin Cruiser. The GV 650 will be the fifth bike in their lineup.

The new bike shares the same engine as the 650R, but it will be in a completely different state of tune, suited for cruiser needs.

Hyosung had originally entered India with Kinetic. But withdrew from the market after their motorcycles did not meet with much success. In 2012 the Korean manufacturer tied up with DSK after their partnership with Garware failed.

The motorcycles have met with reasonable success in the Indian market as it has to take on the Jap manufacturers in the Sports bike segment and the American manufacturer for its cruiser. Currently there are no cruisers in the 650cc segment in India. This might to the advantage of Hyosung, provided it prices its motorcycle right.

I think Hyosung is getting it wrong, they need to start off with the smaller displacement bikes, they have a plethora of 125 and 250 cc bikes in the international market, why not launch the GV 250, GT250N, won't that make more sense rather than the bigger displacement bikes ?

nevertheless the GV 650 is a really good looking bike.Guessing it might be priced slightly below the ST7.Hyosung has really, really nailed it in the looks department when it comes to their cruisers.
And in all probability the GV 250 might get launched this year too,as per DSK's press release I read once..

good news...we now have so many options in india because of all the bikes launched in recent years.

hyosung should also launch more smaller capacity bikes and try to improve the quality of bikes, and if possible make india as a production base.

I agree with the above person saying , they should now go for launching GT250N and GV250 , as already they marked there entry with big bikes and with current huge demand for 250CC bikes its right time to get those 250's here. as per news the GT250R doing very good bussiness with good demand from customers. and i guess they are just hesitating to launch 250's mainly due to heavy cost or import, according to DSK they are localizing some parts this year end , so probably that's the time they might get those 250's here.

i am sure that GV250 will find lot of takes @around 2.5L ex show price
