If they're smart, they'll offer the program this way: If you purchase a new Yamaha, you get the course for free or at significanly reduced cost. If you want to take it on a Yamaha you already own, then you can get in at somewhat reduced cost. Or, if you own some other make of two-wheeler or possibly if you don't own a bike yourself (loaner scooters provided by Yamaha of course, with a good sales pitch and maybe a sales discount offered at the end of the course), you can take the course at a higher full-price fee.

It (the course) is an excellent idea, and I wish more manufacturers (and even some private organizations) offered these, not just for women but for everyone. I hope it will be similar to the US-based Motorcycle Safety Foundation course, and will teach not only how to operate the machine, but teach good road behavior with a HEAVY stress on following traffic rules as well.

Scooters are like fat girls: fun to ride, but embarrassing if your friends see you with one.
