Hero Moto Corp will sponsore two riders - Aaron Yate and Geoff May - of Erik Buell Racing in the American Superbike Series, the AMA Pro Racing series.
Hero had partnered with Erikk Buell Racing for developing engines and technology in February 2012. This partnership will now be bearing fruit with Hero Moto Corp gaining knowledge and racing acumen by being the title sponsor for Erik Buell Racing.
Hero's technicians will work with the Race Engineers of Geoff May's team and gain experience in the field of racing. This knowledge will not only be used in developing motorcycles for the Indian market, but might also get Hero to enter the Indian Road Racing scene to join TVS, Yamaha and Honda.
This is the second season that Hero will be sponsoring the Erik Buell Team. This could also be a reason for EBR to tie up with Hero as getting sponsorship in Motorcycling Racing is getting extremely difficult the world over.
