Bajaj Auto sales have increased by 2.35% taking the sales from 294439 units in January 2012 to 301361 units in January 2013. Exports have seen steady growth at 9.82% growth. Bajaj would be hoping that they new launches in the commuter segment will help boost their sales to come closer to HMC. Currently the difference between the two companies in terms of volume is huge.
TVS Motor sales have increased by a very small margin. The sales increased from 171112 units in January 2012 to 171513 units in January 2013. The companies growth in the two wheeler segment is stagnant and it is going to be a hard task for TVS to move up without any radical new launches. The company's scooter and motorcycle sales dipped with only exports growing.
Suzuki Motorcycles sales increased by 13.91% growing from 35099 units in January 2012 to 39982 units in January 2013. The increase sales has been largely attributed to positive word-of-mouth promotion.
