  • Honda -- CTX Series launched in US

Official Page : CTX Series Overview - Honda Powersports

    A NEW VISION OF MOTORCYCLING

Honda's new CTX series is all about taking the best of motorcycling, adding new technology, and making it even better. The modern engines and chassis designs mean you get great performance, superior fuel economy, and plenty of useable power. The laid-back seating position is just as comfortable for a weekday commute, a weekend cruise, or a week-long vacation trip. And their low center of gravity makes for a better all-around riding experience, especially for new riders. And these two models are just the start.

Both these bikes sport a SOHC 670cc Liquid Cooled Parallel Twin mated to a Six-speed Gearbox.
Added to it., these motorbikes comes with optional Automatic transmission and ABS.
The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

The bikes look funny, its like a cross between the CB500 and an Avenger (Read cruiser), frankly did not like the design one bit

I agree, it's like someone was browsing some old Honda catalogs and went aaha!!...and whats with the exhaust, they blackened everything but the exhaust ??
          That is one fugly motorcycle.

Looks like a cheap Diavel from side!
I confirms: Honda designers are very much under paid!
Disappointed with most of their recent designs.

Based plainly on the looks i wont bother looking at this bike again.
Even if the overall package is good..the design killed all the excitement.
Seriously they need to think from our perspective too.

dunno what everyone is looking at, what i am looking at is a very comfy motorcycle. Also, I'd think it looks decent enough, I mean honda doesnt really do motorcycles that you look at and be pleased inside. They build functional motorcycles, but good looking, heart warming? no!

This is a bike that wont' appeal to you when you first look at it. Even I disliked it at the first glance. But it grows on you after sometime and then you start liking it. Ive been noticing this in the recent Honda bikes, they don't make aggressive looking bike that will make your jaw drop when you first look at it. But instead you start liking its looks later and you love it for a long time. And this bike is very practical in terms of usage. Great comfortable seat and seating position, powerful and fuel efficient, and quite tech laden: specially the dual clutch and ABS.

so true.. the latest honda's have been taking time to fit in head.. but they stay there for long..

                              same goes with 250r and 1000rr ..

did not like the new firblade initially but a big fan now... they definitely have a psychiatrist in the design team..
