it is good for the company and RE lovers who now have to wait months to get their beloved bike. but what surprises me is RE needs just 150 Cr. to set up a new plant whereas other manufacturers need money to the tune of 1000 Cr. to set up a new plant.

RE sales have been steadily increasing the last few years. Giving a boost to parent company Eicher Motors.

RE sales have gone up from 50000 in 2010, to 75000 units in 2011 to over 1.1 lakh units in 2012.

Margins for the company have also increased from 12% to 14%.

This steady growth in volumes and margins has led RD to increase its production capacity.

RE has been building its brand steadily and this has also led to FII (Foreign Institutional Investors) increasing investments in the company.
