They're trying alright, appreciate it..But they're clueless about the mindset of the customer base they're targeting. Which prospective customer in their right mind would opt for Mahindra when market is crowded with commuters which enjoy legendary reliability, fuel efficiency and have made a name for themselves with the product.It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

And as a humorous take on the first post, What is the probability of an iPhone user taking Pantero, among other things?
Common guy: Dekho bhai aisa hai, iPhone also costing 50k. Pantero also costing 50k. So, I buy Pantero, because I already owning iPhone & I able to afford Pantero.
Ok ok, attempted lame jokes apart, I think this method will have a very small reach. Maybe 5-10% of Mahindra's customers will buy this product after seeing it on the special website, if they're lucky.
As much as I agree, I'm afraid Mahindra have no choice. Do they have a reasonable choice apart from this?
See for example, Duro & Rodeo. These have made themselves a name despite presence of Activa, Aviator and evergreen Scooty. So, maybe some years down the line, the public might find something considerable in Mahindra Motorcycle catalogue. Of course, immediate results are not expected to be seen anyways.
And you know, Stallio failed for genuine reasons: Reasons that were visible in the test ride itself. That might not happen again.---

Scooters (automatic) is slightly different segment.. it is currently growing in India. But motorcycles, especially the hard core commuter segment is kind of saturated/mature.. chances of people experimenting here is comparatively less.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostSee for example, Duro & Rodeo. Also the inability of Honda to update its production capacity to cater to the demand for its Activa is the main reason why other scooters have slowly found its way in the market. Still I don't think that Mahindra is doing great numbers in scooters.
