  • Bajaj readies to enter Indonesia with Kawasaki

Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL) and Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) will be taking their partnership another step ahead, with launching certain Bajaj models in Indonesia.

Bajaj and Kawasaki already have a partnership in India and Philippines. Now, Bajaj bikes will be assembled in Indonesia by Kawasaki and also distributed there by them.

The 200NS will be the first bike to be taken there in this financial year. After Indonesia, Brazil and ASEAN markets will also be on the agenda in this tie up.

Kawasaki will not just be assembling the bikes, but will also help improve the bikes. These improvements will not just be seen in the bikes in Indonesia, but all across the globe as well. It will also help Bajaj improve its position in the market place.

the partnership with kawasaki for selling is ok, but improving, how can kawasaki help improve a bajaj bike which essentially is a KTM co-developed platform.

As far as i remember..the duke 200 is a Bajaj KTM co developed bike...the pulsar 200 though sharing the platform(all i know is engine bore stroke is common..and many parts are shared to cut costs like the radiator, oil and air filters, may be some gearbox components) but the NS is completely developed by Bajaj and has NO KTM hand in it...they might have taken advise and stuff..but essentially its a COMPLETE bajaj bike...so they can i guess allow kawasaki modify it according to the market there...we even heard news of FI version...may be kawasaki may provide maps for it...
