its more like, if you don't buy our scooters, we will give you Rs.500 i.e. incentive for not buying our scooters, shouldn't it be other way round.
though its a good publicity stunt, they know the shortfalls well, thats why, only for a limited period.
if i would have been in honda, i would have immediately put up counter advertisements saying -- "buy honda scooter and get Rs 500 from mahindra, lol...."
