TVS Apache in its first avatar as a 150cc, 5-speed motorcycle set a new bench mark in the industry with innovative design, international looks, advanced engineering and technical excellence that offered an exhilarating combination of sporty performance and exceptional ride comfort. TVS Motor Company then set about refining and improving the Apache and launched a 160cc Apache RTR Motorcycle in 2007 creating a whole new category for motorcycles. A powerful 180cc Apache RTR then followed which took the brand to even greater heights. Recently TVS Motor Company introduced its new 2012 Apache Series RTR with all new beast themed styling that enhanced the legacy that Apache had built over the years.
Setting a precedent, for the first time in the history of the Indian two wheeler industry, in 2011 TVS Motor Company introduced ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) in TVS Apache RTR 180, giving the bike formidable stopping power and superior braking control that
complimented its high performance capability.
Since a high percentage of Apache owners are racing enthusiasts and the machine itself is a track honed model, TVS Motor Company introduced ARE (Apache Racing Experience) with the aim of giving the Apache customers a clear insight on what their race bred machines are capable of. At ARE, customers get an opportunity to learn the finer points of racing under the watchful eyes of professional racers from Team TVS. Thus far ARE has covered 155 cities across India and it has become an event that racing enthusiast look forward to.
Today Apache Series RTR portfolio includes in 3 different models, Apache RTR 180 ABS, Apache RTR 180 and Apache RTR 160.
