    After a whole lot of spy shots, speculations, discussions, and whatnot, we finally get a glimpse of what the new KTM RC 390 is going to be all about. Well, sort of, because the one being talked about by Rok Bagoros in the video below is also a prototype but very close to the production form... 95% close.

    This is the first major overhaul that the KTM RC 390 has received since its launch. And it is an overhaul with an all-new design and many smaller changes to make the motorcycle lighter, faster, and at the same time, easier to ride.

    Next up, lighting is LED all around. At the front, there's a single LED headlight flanked by LED DRLs that also function as indicators. The fuel tank is not only larger at 13.7 litres but more muscular as well.

    The whole fairing has been redesigned along with the tail section and so, a revised chassis and a new subframe. This makes the new KTM RC 390 appear bigger than ever and more aerodynamic too. This should also be a help in heat management as well.

    The ergonomics have been revised for a slightly more comfortable riding stance but the handlebar height is adjustable by 10mm. One of the biggest updates apart from the design though is the TFT screen with Bluetooth Connectivity and KTM MY RIDE App integration.

    Suspension duties are taken care of by WP Apex 43 forks and WP Apex mono-shock at the rear. The front suspension gets adjustable compression and rebound damping while the rear makes do with adjustable preload and rebound damping. The seat height is now down to 824mm and the ground clearance has gone up to 158mm. With significant weight reduction measures, the RC 390 now weighs 155 kg (dry).

    The new KTM RC 390 continues to be powered by the 373cc single-cylinder engine. The power output remains the same at 43.5 bhp but the torque has not gone up to 37 Nm. A bi-directional quickshifter is optional while the slip-and-assist clutch remains a standard addition.

    With all that about the new KTM RC 390, the KTM RC 125 and KTM RC 200 are also to receive a similar overall with an obvious lack of top-shelf features like adjustable suspension and so on. Since the motorcycle in the video is claimed to be 95% production-ready, we can expect the official launch soon. The only thing one needs to look out for is if the Indian variant gets all the bells and whistles that are a part of the package internationally.
