  • Aprilia has launched the RS 660 and the Tuono 660 in India

After a while of waiting, Indian motorcyclists can finally get their hands on the Aprilia RS 660 and Tuono 660. The formidable middleweights from Noale, Italy will be making their way to India via the CBU route. But the two middleweights have been joined by some others too for their India launch.

Piaggio has brought three motorcycles alongside the two 660 siblings. The name of the five motorcycles launched are as follows; Aprilia RS 660, Aprilia Tuono 660, Aprilia RSV4, Aprilia Tuono V4 and finally, the iconic Moto Guzzi V85TT.

The Aprilia RS 660 and Tuono 660 are priced at INR 13.39 lakh (Ex-Showroom) and INR 13.09 lakh (Ex-Showroom), respectively. The price may seem a tad on the higher side but both of these motorcycles boast class-leading features along with a very comprehensive and sound electronics package.

Both of these motorcycles have been created around a completely new technical base. Sitting at the centre of that base is the new 660cc parallel-twin from which the 660 twins manage to extract 100 bhp of power and 67 Nm of torque. The electronics package is derived from RSV4's impressive suite and includes a Ride-by-Wire throttle and a six-axis inertial platform for optimum operation of the APRC electronic aids.

Next up, we have the RSV4 and Tuono V4 priced at INR 23.69 lakh (Ex-Showroom) and INR 20.66 lakh (Ex-Showroom), respectively. The latest iteration of the RSV4 is powered by a 1,078cc V4 engine that is good for 217 bhp of power and 125 Nm of torque. The streetfighter derivative of the RSV4, Tuono V4, makes 175 bhp of power and 121 Nm of torque.

Finally, we have an icon that we need to talk about- the Moto Guzzi V85TT. It has been launched in India at a price tag of INR 15.40 lakh (Ex-Showroom). It is powered by an 850cc two-cylinder 90° transverse air-cooled 850cc which has 80 bhp of maximum power.

Moto Guzzi has been producing authentically Italian motorcycles since 1921. The V85TT is no different. Standout styling and utilizing a new platform, the V85TT is the meeting point between technology and functionality with a classic Moto Guzzi style, designed to remain timeless as well as defining the V85 TT as the Classic Enduro dedicated to tourism.
