Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India said, “The launch of all-new BMW C 400 GT heralds a new era in the urban mobility segment in India. This progressive and agile mid-size scooter is designed to conquer the city and long touring destinations with ease. Whether riding into the city centre, travelling to the office, or enjoying a weekend tour– the all-new BMW C 400 GT is the perfect partner to enjoy riding to the fullest: not just as alone but with a passenger too.”

The BMW C 400 GT, pricey as it may be, comes packed with features. A multifunctional instrument cluster along with a 6.5" full-colour TFT screen capable of displaying all the information you need. Along with the information, you also get turn-by-turn navigation as a part of the connectivity features on board.

In addition to all that, the BMW C 400 GT gets LED headlamps, LED turn signals, a tall adjustable windscreen and an LED taillamp. The seat is stepped but large and roomy and the pillion seat also gets lumbar support. Adding to the comfort aspect are the broad footboards and a seat height of just 775mm.

Under the seat, there's a lot of storage space and the bay is illuminated too. There's also a front cubby storage which is equipped with a USB port that can be used to charge your smartphones and such. Apart from all that, keyless ignition, ride-by-wire, dual-channel ABS and automatic stability control are also standard on the C 400 GT.

The big deal though is the engine. The scooter is powered by a 350cc water-cooled single-cylinder engine that is good for 34 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque. With that powerhouse, the C 400 GT is capable of achieving a top speed of 139 km/h and can go from 0-100 km/h in just 9.5 seconds! A stepless CVT gearbox is helped by a centrifugal dry clutch to take care of the transmission duties.

Suspension duties are handled by 35mm telescopic forks on the front end and double-spring struts with preload adjustment at the rear. The BMW C 400 GT gets a 120/70 R15 tyre on the front and a 150/70 R14 tyre on the rear that further emphasize the size. On the front end, there are twin 265mm discs gripped by a 4-piston calliper and on the rear, a single 265mm disc and a 1-piston calliper take care of braking. Finally, the scooter weighs a whopping 214 kg (kerb) making it not only the most powerful but the biggest and heaviest scooter in the Indian market.

Available in Alpine White and Style Triple Black, the BMW C 400 GT comes with a standard warranty for 3 years. There's also an option to extend the warranty to the 4th and the 5th year with Road-Side Assistance and 24x7 365 days package which further ensures prompt services in case of breakdown and towing situations. A comprehensive range of optional equipment and original BMW Motorrad accessories are also available for further customization and individualization.
