  • EICMA 2025 :: Retro motorsport icon, Honda CB1000F

    At Honda’s stand at EICMA 2025, motorcycles that look to the future—such as the electric WN7—share the spotlight with others that pay homage to the past. Belonging to the latter group is the new 2026 CB1000F, inspired by the CB750F ridden by Freddie Spencer in the early 1980s AMA Superbike Championship.

    From a technical point, the CB1000F is based on the Hornet 1000. Its inline-four engine has been reworked: with revised intake, valve timing, and exhaust systems, it now delivers smoother power at low and mid revs, producing 124 hp and 103 Nm of torque. The gearbox ratios have also been adjusted to make steady-speed riding more relaxed.

    As for the chassis, the main innovation is a new, longer rear subframe that provides more room for both rider and passenger. Despite its vintage look, the CB1000F is packed with modern technology. It features multiple power modes, as well as adjustable engine braking and traction control. The CB1000F is available in two colour options: grey with blue graphics, and black with red stripes.
