  • Yamaha MotoGP Riders celebrate the Spirit of Racing in India

India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd. welcomed MotoGP riders to India for a special visit that celebrated the brand’s racing DNA, engineering excellence, and deep connection with Indian customers and fans. As part of the India visit, Yamaha Motor Racing Team’s MotoGP riders Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins, along with Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP rider Jack Miller and Team Principal Paolo Pavesio, participated in a series of engagements that brought the excitement of world-class racing closer to Yamaha enthusiasts in the country.

The MotoGP riders visited the Madras International Circuit, where they met over 100 Yamaha fans and new YZF-R2 customers in an exciting and engaging setting. The meet-and-greet session provided enthusiasts with a rare opportunity to interact with some of the world’s finest racers, discussing everything from racing techniques and rider preparation to motorcycle technology and life in MotoGP. The riders spent considerable time with fans, signing autographs, sharing experiences, and celebrating the passion for motorcycling that unites Yamaha riders around the world.

The MotoGP stars also took the newly launched YZF-R2 out on the circuit, putting Yamaha’s latest R-Series machine through its paces and experiencing its performance-oriented character firsthand. Impressed by its agility, rider-focused dynamics and supersport DNA, the riders praised the motorcycle’s ability to deliver an engaging riding experience, further strengthening the connection between Yamaha’s racing expertise and its latest offering for Indian customers.

Furthermore, the MotoGP stars also visited Yamaha’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and R&D centre in Chennai, where the riders were given an exclusive tour of the plant and witnessed the manufacturing of the recently launched YZF-R2. They experienced firsthand the precision, craftsmanship and advanced technologies that go into producing Yamaha motorcycles, while gaining insights into the company’s stringent quality and production standards. During the visit, the riders interacted with plant employees and engaged with Yamaha’s Research & Development team, exchanging perspectives on performance engineering, innovation and the continuous pursuit of excellence that powers Yamaha’s products both on and off the racetrack.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr Hajime Aota, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group, said: "Bringing our MotoGP riders together with Yamaha customers and fans in India creates a special connection between the excitement of world-class racing and the motorcycles they ride every day. It was equally meaningful for the riders to visit our Chennai manufacturing facility and interact with our engineers and employees, gaining firsthand insight into the passion, innovation and precision that go into every Yamaha motorcycle. These interactions reinforce Yamaha’s commitment to inspiring riders and nurturing a stronger motorsport culture in India."

The visit brought together the worlds of racing, engineering and customer engagement in a unique celebration of Yamaha’s enduring spirit. From enthusiastic customer interactions at the Madras International Circuit to witnessing advanced manufacturing and R&D capabilities in Chennai, the MotoGP riders experienced firsthand the passion and dedication that drive Yamaha in India. As the day drew to a close, it left customers delighted, employees inspired, and fans with memories they will cherish for years to come, further reinforcing Yamaha’s commitment to bringing the excitement and spirit of world-class racing closer to riders across India.
