This is the third time since May 2013 that the 2012 Speed Triple has been recalled. This time it has been recalled because it was assembled without a throttle cable guide. The effected motorcycles were manufactured between June to November 2012. The company said that without the throttle guide the cables may move around and impede the steering operation, thus causing a crash.
The 2012 Daytona 675 has also been recalled. The motorcycles which are effected were produced during July to October 2012.
The replacement will be made free of charge.
