    Drive on to auto expo

Bangalore : Auto-enthusiasts in the city can now see an exclusive range of never-seen-before beauties on wheels from India and all over
the world. Bangalore International Automotive Expo (BIAE), the biggest automotive exhibition in South India, organized by Winmedia Communications Pvt Ltd., will showcase the best of automobiles at Palace Grounds from January 9 to 11.

"The idea is to provide a base for an automotive component manufacturing revolution from Bangalore that may take shape in the future," said Raj Krishna Murthy, managing director, Winmedia Communications.

On display will be cars from seven manufacturing companies, hydrogen-fuelled prototypes that use water, super fuel-efficient vehicles that can touch 500 km per litre, all terrain vehicles, off-road bikes, imported bikes, modified cars, customized cars, accessories and nitro cars that run on nitro-methane. You can even test ride superbikes.

The main attraction will be all terrain vehicles. Custom-made cars and vintage cars will also be on display. "This expo will provide all information about automobiles and its various components under one roof for the first time,'' said Peter Mendonca, project manager, Winmedia Communications.

        Hello guys,
I happened to visit the Yamaha stall in BIAE, i met a guy who claimed to be from Yamaha (wearing the yamaha outfit). He says there will be Yamaha 250 cc coming by end of 2009. Dont know how true or valid was his comment. Any news anyone has on the same?

Don't know how true this is, but I hope its the YZF R25 , even a Glady 250 will do as long as it has oodles of torque!

It is true indeed and my source is the same person who told me about Yamaha's completely new, full fairing, performance based (read R15) bike in making in 2007.

I went to the BIAE on 11th (sunday). Yamaha sales guy told me that Yamaha will launch mopeds by march!

And I took a pic of the model on R15
