Honestly, I like the new mahindra centuro's TV ad because it shows beautiful riding shots of the bike just like the other mahindra ads of bolero and scorpio where the vehicle is in the landscape without any interference...just riding..even off road. I also think its very different from all the other bike ads that mostly are about stunts or the over smart guy. I also like the play between the girls and guy in the ad. Girls look hot and I'm sure the women are drooling over the guy. Of course this is my personal view and different people will have different opinions. Does anyone know where this ad was shot? India or not?

Last evening had a brief test ride of this bike. Here are my observations.

1) Engine and gear box typical splendor type, very smooth, slick and exhaust note is also similar.
2) It is pulling easily with 170 kg load.
3) DTE function working flawlessly(tested in town and highway).
4) Plastic quality and build quality on par with hero bikes unlike some reviewers commented.
5) Digital dash really impressive with white back lit, you will feel like riding a lakh class bike.
6) Red colour in flesh looks good but in pictures not.
7) Seat comfort is excellent. I weigh 85 kg and took pillion around same weight. We felt there is more room to one more.
8) Bike feels good for my frame(5'9" 85kgs),For comparison my father's CD Deluxe looks puny for my frame.
9) Only negative I found was front brake biting progressively, since I am mostly using front brake I found inadequate. Rear drum is perfect. Tyres are MRF Zappers.
10) No extra cost for mandatory accessories like crash guard, saree guard etc. unlike Honda bikes.

Now we will compare the OTR prices. Hero CD Deluxe priced on par with Centuro in my town(51K).

I booked even before the bike arrived, I am satisfied with test drive and taking delivery of Black colour once the RTO formalities goes through.

P.S: Yesterday my dealer complained to Mahindra visitors about the useless TV commercials which they took note.

For point (9) I have test rode another 2 different bikes and those also having the same spongy feel. I think this problem is present in all Centuros.
Now I have to think seriously as front brake is very important.
