    Triumph Street Triple and Daytona 675 Recalled For ABS Malfunction: xBhp News

    Triumph Motorcycles has recalled its Street Triple, Street Triple R, Daytona 675 and Daytona 675R for possible ABS malfunctions. The effected bikes are from the period 2012-13.

    The Street Triple motorcycles were manufactured in July 2012 and the Daytona 675 were manufactured in September 2012 and June 2013.

    Due to a manufacturing error, the ABS may malfuntion and lose its anti lock function. This can lead to serious crashes.

    The company will be directly notifying the owners.

            Recalls are with ABS are usually just to tweak the brake oil flow in order to give a softer more responsive feel to the brakes. Heard both the Daytona 675 and Street Triple have extremely aggressive brakes... something that should be handled with care. A lot of folks are waiting for Triumph to enter the market in India... I have my eyes set on the Triumph Daytona 675, the Suzuki GSX-R 600 and the Honda CBR600rr for my midranger. Triumph was supposed to start taking bookings by this year end in three cities (Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi), many auto journalists have even written to Triumph UK for an update on their India launch situation but haven't heard back from them. Either they're here secretly trying building infrastructure or more likely they're lagging a bit and might get pushed to 2014. But... There is reason to believe that they might go the Kawi way for the first couple of years by importing parts from their Thailand plant and assembling it in India. India has a no duty treaty with Thailand and we've seen it work with the Ninjas. Anyway, being crazy about Triumphs I too sent them an email hoping for a reply... ... well im still hoping.

              hi all.. Just happened to ride out two of the most popular triumphs across the globe over the weekend. spent a day with Bonneville T100 and speed triple 1050 the other day. Both of these machines blow you away with their contrasting character and appeal. But I was eventually sold fr Bonnie. Its much more conf, of coarse, and seating is low. I am 5' 8'' and had no issues with Bonnie. However ST has a lill higher seating.
              I am not sure how serious Triumph are with their india plans.. but the day they set their foot in India .. i am gonna pick on of those Bonnies fr sure. And as everyone... keeping my fingers crossed while all the rumors and speculations surround Triumphs arrival.They are loosing some serious fan base there in India ...

              waiting fr them to do smething abut it.
