Absolutely delighted to see this thread here on xbhp and a big welcome here to the man himself- Bharadwaj Dayala
Special tributes for a marvelous achievement from an Indian biker. By coincidence I happened to follow your journey blog long back when you got delayed in Egypt or Jordan due to some visa issues if I am not mistaken.
As far as I know, there was a group of 4 guys from Punjab that did a RTW on bullets in the early 70s. Then the duo from Jamshedpur on a RD350 in early 80s. Whereas yours is the first solo RTW ride from India and its a big inspiration for many Indian bikers that its not the size of your bike or pocket, but the strength of your determination.
Great spirit and ride safe

bharadwajdayala.
Sir, some time in 2009, whilst on study leave in Pune, I heard about an Indian who had done a RTW on a motorcycle. And after Goggling, I happened to read your blog. As I read, my eyebrows rose up my forehead till they ceased to exist. I remember reading something about your trip being completely self-financed, how no corporate body gave you any support, some Rs 50 lacs from your and your family's pocket, troubles with visas etc. I showed my family, esp my wife your blog and both of us collectively shook our heads - " this man is insane and a genius, all at the same time".
I privately thought that, certain spheres quantity two, located towards the lower central part of your torso, had a Mohs index of 10 if not 11. One particularly endearing aspect about your labour of love was, I remember, that you stubbornly and doggedly insisted on riding the world on an Indian bike vis-a-vis changing bikes at each port.
Again, I vaguely recollect having written on your blog. And now, you have come up on xBhp. What a terrific privilege for the entire forum, per se.
You would be facing a veritable tsunami of queries on your saga for the ways and means of attempting even fractions of it. And from your answers to those already posted, I can begin to understand the immense reservoir of patience that you have built up in prep of and causative the ride.
Please do PM me when you are near Gujarat. My cell number is (^@$#$((^$. It will be my honour to share "good spirits" with you from dusk to dawn.
I have much, much to learn from you in all categories of motorcycling - the physical and metaphysical, the mechanical and the psychological. And may I be so presumptuous to confirm the same for the entire forum.
Prost.
PS. How the friggin' @#$%^&* hell did you do it

As you become the rockstar, so does the bike. Just the final certificate for karizma
Hats off to both of you. And thank you very much.
