    Topic Approved.

A couple of minor updates make this effort almost a forgettable one. Although its good that Kawasaki is paying attention to updates, but maybe they're themselves helpless, in solving the biggest problem in the spec sheet of this bike: The weight of this bike.

Why would anyone choose this bike over the 650R is a mystery? (Apart from Euro license regulations).

Secondly, why do people (specially moto-journalists) expect everything in India without going through the details? The link quoted above says:
Considering that the demand for superbikes is increasing 15-20% every year in India, Bajaj might be thinking of launching the Ninja 400 in India.
Just because market demand is increasing doesn't mean everything launched here, would be successful.

I posted maybe a hundred times, that this bike is based on the 650R. If this bike is launched, it will cost approximately as high as the 650R. Same assembling cost will reflect in the pricing too. Does it have performance to justify the cash you lay down?

Wouldn't 300R be a better deal anyday? Compare the Power to weight of N300R and N400R and you will know what I mean. With 5~ bhp extra over 300R, this bike also gains about 40-45 kgs weight. Torque might be good in the 400R, but again, just bring a certain "373cc" bike into the equation & watch then... (of course, this 373 doesn't have a fairing, but still).

The only clear advantage of N400R I see, would be the giant looks of the Ninja 650R, in slightly lesser price. Of course, only for customers who can't ride a 650 under their license, or those who don't give a damn about performance.

If this is launched in India(which I don't think will happen) it will definitely cost almost the same as a 650, I don't see the point of people trying to get this. They would be better off with the 650 or if they don't have such a high budget, the 300 will do. Outside India its an entirely different case though.

Valid points made , also if I'm not wrong here, the present N300 is struggling to sell numbers with such a heavy price tag that it comes with, so if this will be launched then they should be dreaming to sell numbers , seriously if Kawasaki launches this in India, they got to work too hard to at least bring the price down of their baby Ninjas or else it's just a day dream for them. . . Anyways good luck Kawasaki if you ever launch this bike in India . . .

Since this is a derivative of 650 no slipper clutch I guess

Exactly.. The current price difference between the 650 and 300 is not that much to accomodate another member..

                Ride safe and have fun.

I don't think Kawasaki will ever launch this bike in India....even if they will then it will be priced between the 650 and the 300

And also if KTM is going to launch their RC390...given the fact that it has a much better power to weight ratio and less pricing most of the buyers will be inclined towards buying the KTM.

So it just doesnt make any sense to launch it in India.

These people from Kawasaki should probably consider the KTM rivalry whence now reaching that competition mark for the Duke 390.... but at what price!.Getting those 44 horses.... was it that difficult for you guys to bring it to India at this price...??

Ninja 400 will never launch in Inida.....If Yamaha R25 gives Expected Performance with Twin Cylinder then Ninja 300 or 400 will have to get out of stock which says (No Longer Manufactured) ....
