The Zero SR is a step ahead along the lines of the Zero S motorcycle. The New SR has 67 bhp, and a top speed of 160 kmph! The new bike produces 24% more power and 56% more torque than its previous iteration.

The range of the bike in the city is between 220 to 275 km. On the highway the bike can run for 110 - 140 km on a single charge.

The fit and finish of the motorcycles has also improved drastically from its predecessor and is now at par with conventional motorcycles.

Recently saw about this bike on telly. The bike screams like a jet engine which believe me sounded better than thump or "potato potato". Was also ready for offroading purpose.

that's one long ranged electric bike and this definitely is the way to go.

Screams like a jet?? Not sure what noise they played along with the bike on the TV. I have a guy at work who rides a 2012 Zero S. You will hear some sound from the friction of the wheels, and a hum from the electric motor (similar to Reva or an electric fan). There is a call by the traffic safety authorities to fit electric cars and bikes with speakers and make a loud noise to warn pedestrians of an oncoming vehicle at low speeds. It makes as much sound as a bicycle. Stealthy quiet is the word used by users. 2014 Zero SP and Zero DSP Launch Video - YouTube
