BMW Motorcycles will be starting official production of the F800R in Thailand, which will be initially sold in the Thailand market only. The bikes will be produced at the Rayong Assembly plant in Thailand. In future sales of the BMW F800R may be extended to other Asian markets, thus bringing costs down, by reducing the cost of transportation. The first F800R motorcycles to be produced in Thailand will go on sale in the first quarter of 2014.
Hopefully, BMW will start producing more of their mid-range motorcycles in Thailand and ship to Asian Countries including India. BMW also has a tie up with TVS of India to produce motorcycles below 500cc for the Indian and global markets.
