TVS Motor Company has reported a 6% drop in two-wheeler sales in the month of November at 155,604 units as against 166,783 units in November 2012. Domestic two wheeler reported 135,218 units in November 2013 as against 1,50,056 units registered in the month of November 2012.
Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL). The company reported sales of 24245 units during November 2013, a growth of 126%. Domestic volumes stood at 23831 units, a growth of 136 % over the previous year. The volume growth was driven by increasing demand for the Mahindra Centuro.
Hero MotoCorp today reported 5.61 per cent rise in total sales at 5,30,530 units for November 2013. In the same month last year, it had sold 5,02,305 units.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) reported 43 per cent jump in sales at 3,19,080 units for November 2013. The company's total sales stood at 2,23,145 units in the same month last year. Motorcycle sales registered a rise of 39 per cent to 1,50,995 units in November 2013, from 1,08,403 units in November 2012. The company also reported an increase of 46 per cent in scooter sales at 1,68,085 units from 1,14,742 units in November.
Bajaj Auto Limited sold 2,78,703 motorcycles in November 2013 compared with 3,26,727 units in November 2012, a 15 per cent drop in sales. However on the export front, the company put up a better show last month with exports growing to 1,33,731 units compared with 1,24,115 units in November 2012, an 8 per cent growth.
Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd reported 27.9 per cent growth in total two-wheeler sales at 57,160 units in November 2013 as compared to 44,688 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales increased by 6.5 per cent at 39,777 units as against 37,344 units in the same month last year.
