This bike seriously makes me laugh , it has got all that it needs but still fails to make an impression. . . Even after it's release time, I can hardly see one or two, . . Nobody is buying these regular models anyways, what are they gonna do with the limited edition. . ? Hope they sell at least 10 of these but personally I definitely lovee this. . .

      Cheers!!!

Hyosung was supposed to localise the manufacturing in 18 months from the time of GT250R launch. Is that going to happen? I think 12-14 months are already over. GT250R could have done well here if they had priced it well.

50 units of the limited edition. That's probably more than number of regular units they've sold till date.

Seriously, does someone from Hyosung think the bike isn't selling because of the looks ? :/

The colour is nice and I personally see nothing wrong with the looks. I feel its little bulky for its capacity and why is top speed only 140 on this? Being a V-twin I think the price is quite controlled but wonder why people are not buying it. Is it just because it is korean or does it have any real drawbacks?

You just mentioned one of it's main drawbacks! A top speed of 140 kmph from a V-win! That's pretty poor performance for the amount your paying. Add to that a 5 speed GB when it should have been a 6 speed. And also it's way overweight. And also there is uncertainty with regards to it's aftersales support. It's got the looks but as a package I think it's a pretty poor product. A classical case of all show and no go.

This bike looks fantastic. Looks like a 600/1000. However...
1.) Showrooms are pathetic, they ask "Deposit" for test ride. Hell! BMW, Merc etc dnt ask for deposit and Hoysungs wants a deposit for a 250cc oversized moped!
2.) Pathetic spares availability and Overpriced spares.
                3.) Pathetic after sales.
4.) Performance leaves a lot to be desired. Specially for a 3L bike.
5.) Doesnt have fit and finish for a 3L bike.
                6.) Shinko tyres

The point is - GTR by default sells limited editions. Now, they're giving you Yolk color as an option. They mentioned 500 bikes since they wanted to tell that they have the capacity for the same. Its like a limited edition of a limited edition. But I wonder if all 500 get sold somehow, the default ones would appear as L.E.

Speaking of yolk color, just came across the Hayabusa 2013 LE in the same yuck color at Arya Suzuki, Domlur. Wonder why the universal color for Taxis and schoolbuses is so preferred for "limited edition" bikes?

                            1) i would like to humbly differ here, maybe its different in your city, but here in pune, i will rank hyosung showroom "the best", just because of the kind of service, customer care and attention they give to each and every potential customer. when i was in the market for a 250 CC bike, i went there twice for a test ride and they gave me test ride on both the occassions with each lasting half an hour and that too without any showroom guy accompanying me. yes you read it right 30 mins solo test ride on first occassion and 30 mins test ride with wife on second time, and that after the closing time of showroom (as i got late due to office, so they were waiting)

                            2) overpriced spares- yes, but spares were available, as i was in a mood to buy gt250r so personally went to service center to check.

                            3) performance - yes its not ninja beating, but still its not a let down.

well, there's lot of things lacking in the bike, which everybody knows, but its not all negative only and no positive things.

talking about hyosung, any pune members know why the showroom on FC road closed down.
