Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has launched its service initiative "Service on Wheels." The service, national launch of which took place in Dehradun, will benefit Honda's two wheeler customers in remote areas.

Salient advantages of 'SoW' include availability of genuine Honda parts and assured quality service and professional service because SoW technicians are trained and skilled, the company said.

In just 2 years, Honda has aggressively doubled its network from 1,400 touch-points in FY'12 to a projected 2,700 touch-points by end of current FY'2013-14. As part of its ambitious and aggressive roadmap for India, Honda's ambition is to now reach closer to its valued customers and serve them better with speed, especially in remote areas of India.


"It is in this background that the unique "Service on Wheels" (SoW) initiative has been launched to boost last mile connectivity of Honda. Taking SOW to every village will be India's best-selling scooter Activa", the company said. Present at the launch of this last mile customer service initiative were Keita Muramatsu (president and chief executive officer, HMSI), Takashi Senda (director - central region, HMSI), P. Rajagopi (regional head - central region, HMSI) and Shivprakash Hiremath (regional manager - customer service, HMSI).
