For me also it looks a bit weird to me, who knows we will use to see it after some time and start liking it as other BMW bikes (In my case)...
    KTM RC390 - Current
    Yamaha R15 v2 - Sold
    Hero Hunk - Sold
An IT Engineer by profession and a rider by soul.

      djay,
The K 1300 s acceleration is as scarily quick as any one litre bike . I rode it last year with my daughter as pillion , My friend was riding his Ducati Diavel and i was riding the K1300,( the s 1000 rr had not arrived then). We started from his house in coimbatore which is on the main road from airport drove a short distance took a easy u turn as the bike was relatively light. I could see an empty open road -) i went upto 40 km in first gear shifted to 2nd and whacked the throttle , trust me i saw stars!. Itwas a blast. I think it has too many gizmos like traction control(if i remember right). Power delivery is seamless from the perhaps as little as 2000 rpm. From there my friend took us thro a very twisty section and i just followed him for about 80 km and then rode back. He also got Audi RS5 which ive not seen.. he will sell the K 1300( i wish had that money) . pls be informed that the looks of the Z800 will win hands down ! The handle bar position is less aggresive ( as it it can be used as a tourer) as compared to z 800. Thats why im ordering a handle bar riser as i have inputs that it can strain your wrists on a long run. I must admit that the inputs i received maybe due to not having the elbow relaxed and not finding the appropiate riding position , which i will have to discover my self. He told me that his version of the s1000 rr is a HP 4 version. I will get to ride it next month when i go for a wedding in the family.
