Looks like Harley has set its sight on the future, its showcasing its electric motorcycle.
The Bike will make its onscreen debut in the upcoming Avengers movie too
"Harley-Davidson has just posted a video to its YouTube, which teases a new model coming tomorrow, June 19th, 2014. The video itself is devoid of any information, with a sole blurred motorcycle jetting past a Route 66 sign. The only hint we have on what to expect is the unmistakable sound of an electric drivetrain at full-tilt."
After releasing the Street 750 for the US market, and the Street 500 for India and other emerging markets, Harley-Davidson showed the first signs that it was willing to change its Baby Boomer mentality. Releasing an electric cruiser though, puts the whole operation on its head."
the rumored specs from Asphalt and Rubber website- It features a three-phase induction motor
- It generates 55 kW ( About 74 hp ) of power and 52 lbs.ft of torque
- It features a battery with a capacity of about 7 kWh
- The top speed is limited to 92 mph
- The bike will do a 0-60 mph dash in under four seconds flat
- The range of the electric bike is about fifty miles of mixed city and highway usage
exciting times ahead,
especially since a big reputed brand is making efforts for a clean energy bike and though it will not be focussed on India yet I hope other pretenders here take a clue and put some money in their R&D -

Looks swell and has the punch to match. If they can only manage to jack up the range to 150 miles then they have got a case worth arguing!
