I myself a Honda Owner. I am happy for Honda as well.
Lol , attacking you.. that cracked me up! and whatever the fancy term fanboyism means ..
I don't understand the part in bold - you still say honda snatched the rights from hero ! Pl understand it was honda that OWNS the CD badge and it was merely LICENSED to the erstwhile hero honda along with honda's engines/technology. That is called BUSINESS..and there is nothing immoral or illegal about it.

Also pls understand that the CD100 is NOT the only CD badged honda engine.. there are few other bikes by honda under the CD badge worldwide and that too i guess from the 1960's or maybe earlier !! And CD doesn't mean all bikes badged CD have the same engine layout/components/capacity etc..
List of Honda motorcycles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have no grudge or anything on other manufacturers, and i never said honda is better than xyz or xyz is better than honda or honda is the best in quality blah blah (my only piss off is at the service/support of the ASC of every brand in India INCLUDING honda) and there is no what you called 'fanboyism' in me merely mentioning the facts in black and white !

Coming to people commenting on quality, I have seen a cpl of discovers that have done over a lakh km without the need for opening the engine, pulsars that have run hard for over 80k km without any engine work.. Splendors, CBZ's that have done similar figures without much issues and of course Honda's too. There will a lemon or two and that coupled with improper maintenance will lead to quicker engine problems.

Damn, I hate typing so much.. this long post just made my chicken 65 go cold Pfft.. end of this discussion on honda vs bonda .

Dream Yuga was launched around May 2012. So, if the bike has completed 70K km.s in two years(if the factory owner had bought it around middle of 2012 ), it's amazing!
Today in the face of competition, almost every manufacturer ensures quality and endurance. Customers are more informed nowadays and they have more choices too.
      Peace now!!!

I did not quite believe @sibun when he said the same but yesterday I had the luxury of working on a couple of Honda engines myself, and I gotta admit, I was taken aback by the quality of the parts.

On my recommendation, and the trusted Honda brand, my brother picked a "Dream Yuga" just before the HET engine launch. The quality of the Dream series is really pathetic, the head unit started leaking at mere 1200kms and though my brother raised a hue and cry, the Honda ASS gave a temp fix and after another 1500kms run, the head engine started leaking again. This is not a problem merely for my brothers bike and every 1 out of 3 dream yuga, even post HET launch, had this problem at the service center. The mileage is nothing great to write home and I am not really sure if Honda has indeed fixed the issue.

If this CD110 was a all new engine launch, I would have certainly grabbed one. Noting that it is a more stripped down version of Dream Neo which in turn is a stripped down version of Dream Yuga, I am very skeptical about the success of CD110.

P.S. Before I am labeled a basher, I would like to clarify that there has been an Activa which my near 70 years old father has been using for the past 8 years and I have recommended Honda bikes to a lot other people. My reservation is strictly about the Dream series which may has turned a nightmare for my brother.

Nope, never happened in my 5000 km ride (HET engine neo). It should be a oil-seal problem on that particular bike.

                Happy for you

It is just an observation from my brother that many bikes at the service center had that oil-seal problem. If Honda has fixed that problem, it looks a really good bike. For a slight comparison, it is priced lesser than HF Deluxe without self. CD110 has tubeless tire advantage over HF Deluxe and about 13CC more 0.8bhp. That makes CD110 the bike to go for if the choice is between these two one.

Having said that, I expect Hero to offer the same 110cc engine, which they already offer with Passion X-pro, under the HF Deluxe brand too, which will lead to a whole lot of circular confusion

yeah dude, Hero has got 110cc from honda without HET. It has compression ratio of 9.2 instead of 9.9 in HET I guess.

Even Honda Unicorn has this problem of head gasket leaking.

And prior to the Yuga, he had a second Hand TVS Flame, in which he did the Cuttack to Kolkata trips regularly. He sold it when it reached 100000 Kms(within 4 years). It was rebored twice within 1 Lakh kms(Flame was the worst bike from TVS stable as we know). All I wanted to convey is, quality is never compromised by Honda. But the ASS people can convert even a priceless diamond to worthless Carbon.
And some spare part costs are unnecessarily high.

I am really sorry if I have hurt you, But the word "snatch" wasn't offensive in anyway. It has every right to "snatch", whatever it had bestowed upon Hero. If tomorrow Honda stops giving Hero the rights to use their engine, I would still say Honda snatches the engine, it had once given to Hero. Still don't understand why to make a fuss out of it. Chill.

+1 to that, I also own a pre HET Dream Yuga and quality is not good and have the same head unit leak and low mileage problem( 40-45kmpl) The Honda ASS makes it even worse. I stopped going to ASS after wasting lot of my time visiting them and not finding any proper fixes even after lot of arguments and escalations. I have been recommending people away from Honda if only because of the ASS problems

But my dream neo has everything solved from beginning.. that's why honda trusts this 110cc engine and made another bike.
