  • Mission One : Get electric

There have been quite a few electric motorcycles in the past. Some furiously fast, but still meant for short ranges. Have a look at this one:

Its the Mission One. A limited edition motorcycle with single speed transmission that gets you to a top speed of 150mph and a range of 150 miles. So you could ride it at top speed for about an hour before you need to recharge it for another 2 hours to get it fully charged.

Well you could buy it if you have the moolah. About 69 thousand dollars for this baby and only 50 of them would be made.

    More details here:

Looks OUT of this world! But that price is a FORTUNE to pay for such a machine. But then again, technology never comes cheap. Perhaps, in the near future, such a vehicle would be more affordable for the average Joe.
    :)

looks like it is coming right out of a si-fi flick. Design is very captivativating. Would love to see such things affordable!

BTW, wonder what will be a classification criteria for the elec bikes? We classify the exisiting ones 'roughly' based on they cubic capacity.. Will we start to see bc(battery capacity) instead of cc?

In Hindi "Loot Rahe hai, Technology ke naam pe ..." -- Robing on the name of Technology.
Building a electric motor cycle that could go upta 150Mph at top speed of 150Mph, would cost arround $10K in India.

Its not the cost of technology here.
Its the cost of setting up operations, management, sales, marketing, production, finance and many XXX departments thats making it go upto 69K

Anyway its nice to see something is rolling in
