The Suzuki GSR250F is the full faired version of the Suzuki Inazuma and has been launched in the Japanese market

Suzuki has unveiled the new GSR250F in the Japanese two-wheeler market. The Suzuki GSF250 is the full faired version of the Suzuki Inazuma motorcycle which is on sale in our country. The new offering is the third 250cc offering from SuzukiSuzuki GSF250F is restricted to the cosmetic front and apart from the new full-faired body, the bike also gets equipped with raised handlebars to better suit the touring dynamics of the motorcycle. The Suzuki

No changes have been made on the mechanical front and the Suzuki GSR250F will be powered by the same 250cc motor as seen on the Inazuma. The liquid-cooled, parallel-twin mill churns out 26PS of max power and torque rating stands at 24Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox while braking responsibilities are taken care of by Nissin disc brakes at front and rear. The Suzuki GSR250F employs semi double-cradle chassis, and features telescopic forks at the front and seven-way adjustable mono-shock suspension at the back. The fairing has hiked the kerb weight by 6kg and the SuzukiSuzuki will launch the GSR250F in our market or not. Given the fact, that the Suzuki Inazuma has the makings of good touring bike, the added fairing will not only boost its touring capabilities but also amplify its visually appeal.

    News Verified/Approved.

Even though Zigwheels, Motroids are a reliable source, a little hands on information on the source would be more helpful. Here is such one.

      Re: Suzuki GSR250F breaks cover

This thing has 'broken cover' for last many months. What's the news here? Is there any word of it coming to India? The way Inzauma is getting lukewarm attention, I doubt whether Suzuki will import this to India and price it around 2.5L, just to be compared with RC390 and CBR250/300 by people who don't understand the number of cylinders.

I think this one uncovered months back, I don't think Suzuki would be planning to take her to India by seeing cold response for Inazumma compare to other 250cc.

          Re: Suzuki GSR250F breaks cover

Looks better than the current version of inazuma, suzuki should have changed the alloys design also, current design is pretty plain and doesn't do justice with this new full fairing.

            Re: Suzuki GSR250F breaks cover

I think suzuki should focus on giving this bike a proper facelift rather than putting fairings on it. They can give it classic kinda feel with twin round headlamps or they can come up with a totally new headlamp design with slightly re-designed tank and tank shrouds which will enhance its appeal. All in all they should give it a sports cruiser kinda look rather than a commuterish or you can say a very basic feel.

P.S. Almost all the reviews of inazuma on internet are positive. As per reviews it is the most comfortable(for both rider and pillion), easy to ride and refined bike in India. Everyone praised its top notch build quality and finish but the only sore point was its pricing at the time of launch which has been reduced to 2.09 lacs ex-showroom only...

                Only cosmetic changes ?
I don't think this will work in India .
26bhp even with all heavenly refinements will be overshadowed by competition.
RC series, much expected CBR 250/300 , even pulsar 400 ,Ninja and Yamaha R25 will make sure this never leaves the showroom with 26 horses .

Only if they manage to price it 10-20k over inazuma they can clear stocks .

This is more like it!!! a highway executive tourer doing 100 kmph all day long with added comfort for the behind & spine.

Looks better than semi-naked version. It's a GSR with Faring, lol.

Is there any aerodynamic advantage from that extended front fender?

                        Re: Suzuki GSR250F breaks cover

IMO, Inazuma(naked & sports) should not be compared to Ninja250/Duke200/CBR250. This is a bike made for cruising. wherein a Ninja/Duke is performance/race oriented. Enough power to go almost anywhere. The xBHP team covered entire India on two Inazumas I I don't think they'd disagree on the touring capabilities of the Inazuma. Very relaxed and smooth ride. Comfortable for both the rider and pillions. It's more like the calm and matured girl you'd marry. Not the super hot girlfriends!
If Suzuki don't repeat the mistake in pricing, then the GSR 250F has all the potentials to be a winner.

Whats wrong in comparing it with ktm 390, cylinders are not everything. Look at the prices of ktm 390, ninja 300 and inzamuna in global market and then you will realise that its very overpriced here ( mainly because they are not manfacturing it here) and in terms of performance its no where near to 390, even highway cruising speed is less than 390

Shootingstar: on a cc basis, all >200cc bikes are comparable. But on quality and utility purpose, all these bikes cater to different sets of buyers, and hence they are not one-to-one comparable (at least in my mind). Though buying is not always a rational decision, and I have seen people hoping to buy a 150cc jumping on buying Duke!

My point was, the Inazuma is already seen as a non-VFM product. Addition of 30-40k on top of it for a fairing will not bring any more sales than it is already fetching (unlike the RC390 which will set the charts on fire hopefully!)
