Hero MotoCorp, the country's largest two wheeler manufacturer plans to invest 16 billion rupees to set up a new manufacturing plant in Southern India.
The company has signed a preliminary agreement with the government of Andhra Pradesh to set up a 600acre plant in the state. The plants annual capacity is expected to be 1.8 million. Hero already has three operational plants and another one under construction. A plant in Gujarat is also in the pipeline according to the annual report of the company.
