Hero MotoCorp intends investing Rs 5000crore across the globe to increase production capacity to fuel its global growth plans.
The new manufacturing fascilities in Colombia, Bangladesh and Gujarat and Andhra will be covered under this investment. Hero started production in its 4th plant in Neemrana, Rajasthan. The Rs 1050 crore manufacturing facility will help achieve 100 million units in cumulative production by 2020.
The Neemrana plant has an annual capacity of 7,50,000 units and will be used to produce the entire range of motorcycles from HMC. This facility will also be used to produce hi-end motorcycles in the future. The company now enjoys a production capacity of 7.65 million units per annum.
