I wonder is the 5% increase in Yamaha sales have got anything to do with their new scooters, certainly for TVS that seems to be the case since their Gixxer sales have just started.

As far as RE is concerned I think there sales is nearing the peak- all driven by the craze for their Classic models now coming out with a hew of colors, though the GT is turning out to be a flop I assume.

RE is now becoming the commuter bike. So many of them around now with modded silencers. The Classic 350 is a hot cake.
There is no better therapy than riding a bike down a straight road at full throttle with the sound of the engine for company.

Bajaj should re enter into scooter segment and tvs should revamp its commuter bike segment .
If that happens it can surely eat the sales of Honda .

Hero should launch something in the likes of dio/ray current pleasure is too boring .

RE is thumping ahead in sales time to explore the area where HD and triumph are dominating .

'Flop' is a little too harsh term for it, though admittedly i don't think I've spotted more than one or two GTs on road in Delhi/NCR ever since they were launched! Also it was a premium product and the numbers would definitely be low, but I am assuming they are not up to RE's own expectations!

I think their sales will grow even more in coming years as they don't have any kinda direct competition in market and they are improving slowly but steadily. They are not doing well because of classics only, new thunderbird twins are also doing very well atleast in northern India specially in Delhi, Mumbai, Haryana and Punjab(I have personally seen a lot thunderbirds in these 4 regions). Their figures are very good considering the fact that they are not in volume segment. As far as CGT is concerned, you can't say its a flop because it was launched for very limited set of people as their second bike who like old world charm and something unique or for those who ride their bikes on weekends and for fun only. CGT is not meant for daily commute, RE is selling it as a lifestyle product. I have no idea about Bangalore but i have seen 9-10 CGTs in delhi in past 3 months(My daily office route is punjabi bagh to canaught place).

All in all I believe their is something about this brand and their bikes which attract people from all age groups and make them crazy.

Very well said , nowadays there is a mad craze of RE bikes in everyone be it youth or middle age men, people want to ride & feel Different and RE fulfils their biking taste.
i myself sold my Karizma and got a Electra twinspark & except one or two, all of my friends are already got their RE bikes or waiting for the delivery
one more reason for RE success is most of the bollywood movies are portaying them.
