Buddy The Pulsar 400CS can be considered as a replacement for the aging Avenger. It's a sport's tourer due early next year. But if the 200SS is any indication Bajaj will take even longer to launch that bike.Originally posted by emm View Postdoes anyone has any idea whether bajaj has any plans of upgrading its avenger model. bcos, its quite sometime it has given any changes to avenger. and if i am not wrong it still vibrates quite a lot at cruising speeds

But, as far from the pics I can understand that the seating of the 400cs will be bit different from the cruiser laid back seating position of avenger. If this is the case there is no true budget cruiser. Sad, for bajaj now concentrating only on the pulsar series and giving a step motherly treatment to avenger.. Though avenger having the potential for lot of improvements. :banghead:Originally posted by Minisoda View PostBuddy The Pulsar 400CS can be considered as a replacement for the aging Avenger. Avenger isn't a true cruiser either!Originally posted by emm View PostBut, as far from the pics I can understand that the seating of the 400cs will be bit different from the cruiser laid back seating position of avenger. It has a detuned P220 engine and makes power at relatively high RPMs for a cruiser IMHO.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

But, I was actually referring about the seating position which for now is available only two bikes for a person on a relatively less budget of around 1 to 1.5lac and both if I am not wrong vibrates a lot even at crusing speeds of 90-100kmph. Correct me if I am wrong.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostAvenger isn't a true cruiser either!

I agree that there is no true Avenger successor. That's why I said the Pulsar 400CS can be considered as a replacement for it.Originally posted by emm View PostBut, I was actually referring about the seating position which for now is available only two bikes for a person on a relatively less budget of around 1 to 1.5lac and both if I am not wrong vibrates a lot even at crusing speeds of 90-100kmph. It's no Avenger but maybe Bajaj has something cooking even in that department. Just like the Pulsar 200AS (Adventure Sports) came as a surprise, who knows there may even be a Avenger successor in the works. Fingers crossed!Last edited by Minisoda; 02-09-2015, 02:44 PM.

Re: Pulsar 200ss spotted in an Indian dealership (Check saree guard)
I am planning for 200ns and have a budget of 1.1 lakh for OTR.
Would it be wise for me to wait for the next iterations to arrive ? Since I really want ABS feature in the bike , considering the metropolitan roads.
However, what I am wondering about at the same time is the price difference in the Pulsar with ABS and non AbS models.
IMO , they should equip every 200cc and higher bikes with ABS . It should be a mandate , in fact.
Ps , I hope they don't bring the color options as striped as in the current gen of pulsars.
Thise stripes seems to take away the machoism from the bike.Last edited by Richardson's; 02-12-2015, 08:57 PM.Bajaj Avenger Street 220 - (Delhi)
