He had a few crashes during the previous stages resulting in a hairline fracture on his left toe and a massively bruised shoulder. It is a spectacular result when you consider the fact that 168 riders had started the rally, but only 79 made it to the end, CS stood 36th in his maiden attempt.

Sherco TVS Rider, Alain Duclos finished the Dakar Rally with 25th overall ranking and his teammate Fabian Planet at 29th Position. A great result for Indian rookies TVS Racing, but they will be disappointed as a top ten position was within grasp for Duclos, until technical problems shunted him down the pack.
