Xbhp covered the new 2015 Versys 1000 unveiling at Intermot 2014.
Just weeks after launching the naked twins Z250 and Er6n, Kawasaki are back, albeit with a CBU this time. Around December, 2014, a few days back, Kawasaki launched the Versys 1000 in India.

The recently updated Versys 1000 now comes with smarter-looking horizontal headlights, with an air vent tucked away between them.
Versys 1000 is an all rounder adventure touring motorcycle equipped with a 1043cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, in-line four cylinder, fuel-injected engine. There’s a DOHC and four-valve per cylinder head on the new Kawasaki Versys. The motor is configured to regulate a supreme power of 118.4bhp at 9000rpm with a peak torque of 102Nm at 7500rpm. With long travel forks and monoshock, the ground clearance is also quite decent in comparison to inline 4 Superbikes & Streetbikes available in India. A slipper clutch system and traction control are also present.

Thus, Versys 1000 makes a valid proposition for a biker whose focus is a practical & comfortable adventure touring motorcycle, which is equally attractive, fast, torquey and modern too.
Kawasaki Versys 1000 ABS also gets 75mm wider windshield that is easily adjustable. Lower rider seat height with upright riding position ensure rider's convenience during long journeys. The low and full power mode of the bike helps the rider switch among the two according to his requirements. KQR is optional and it accommodates 28-liter of storage capacity with hard saddlebags that feature one key convenience and hard guards for wind protection.
Kawasaki Versys 1000 ABS is crafted on a Twin-spar aluminum frame and looks very promising for variety of roads. The 249kg Versys 1000 halts using the ABS equipped twin petal disc brakes in front and a single disc brake at the rear.
The Kawasaki Versys 1000 is priced at Rs 12,90,000 (ex-showroom, Pune), and will be brought in to India as completely built units (CBU). It is currently kept on display at the Kawasaki dealership in Pune while bookings for the adventure motorcycle has commenced. Booking price for the Kawasaki Versys 1000 is Rs 5 lakh with deliveries for the first lot of motorcycles starting by end of January 2015.
