Yamaha will be launching a bevy of electric bikes at the Tokyo Motor Show soon. The Electric bikes to be launched will be super light as detailed below.



This offroading bike from Yamaha is unbelievably light and weighs in at just 85 kg! The PED 1 is the offroading counterpart of the PES1 -



This i s the latest Electric Concept bike from Yamaha. The bike weighs just 100 kg! The battery pack of the Yamaha PES1 acts as a stressed member of the frame. It also sports a fully automated transmission box, which can be switched from automatic to manual on the fly. The Yamaha PES1 may be an electric concept which will be displayed at the Tokyo Motor Show, but this bike is very close to production from the looks of things.



To join the electric motorcycles, Yamaha will also be displaying a new electric scooter. Basically an ICE scooter, with its insides taken out and replaced with battery packs. Thus the Yamaha Vino gives birth to the Yamaha EVINO!



Finally, getting back to the conventional motorcycles that we are all so used to, Yamaha will be showcasing a Cafe Racer Concept at the Tokyo Motor Show.
