Re: DSK Benelli registers 300 bookings within a week of launch: xBhp News
That discount is for tnt300 or 600 and what is the exact onroad price for tnt300..??Originally posted by abhijitkn View PostI was supposed to get the delivery by tomorrow...now deferred to couple of days letter. The TC is now with the showroom so the registration will be done as well. As per the showroom they have delivered 3-4 TNT300s so far & also I saw few TNT600GT & 899 ready for delivery last week.
Also I'm getting some uncanny discount (~Rs.20000) on on road pricing. Anybody has idea if the prices have been slashed?

For Mumbai. For TNT300 on road price at the time of delivery quoted by the dealer was ~363000 now the dealer is quoting ~343000.

Looking at the earlier invoice the only cut anybody can do was from Ex-showroom price.

abhijitkn I spoke to Benelli Guys in Bangalore and Mumbai. They clarified that there are no price changes. Actual scene is Mumbai dealer by mistake had quoted wrong prices. He had quoted 365000 on road for TNT 300 where in actual price is 343000. Now he rectified the mistake. Probably that's where confusion lies. For a moment I was thinking about what all accessories I can buy with 20000 slash

Re: DSK Benelli registers 300 bookings within a week of launch: xBhp News
I really don't buy that. First DSK told me that there was a change in price , then the same person from the DSK told me that DSK has revised the pricing for Mumbai, not sure of the reason.
Nobody can print the price on the proforma invoice just like that. It was my bank which found out that there was an issue with the price. Dealer never told me that, in fact when I called the dealer from the bank, first there was a denial & when the bank manger confronted, they agreed. Imagine these things happening at the time of pay order being issued. I'm not a businessman & this is not a daily affair for me.
They have sold few TNT300's all ready (as they say). For all these days people who booked the bike they quoted the same price. I can understand if it's within week of launch. If after a month you realize that there is an issue with the price, then what one should say.
I've both, the new & old invoices. There are few irregularities which only DSK & the dealer can answer but so far no answers. For e.g. the motorcycle with high price has low registration charges & with reduced pricing higher registration charges (+8K), why? no reason & also RSA (road side assistance) was included in the new invoice without informing me. I had to finally tell the dealer that if required I will let go of 15K (50% cancellation fee) & buy Z250. Same I told to DSK as well.
My problem is why not be true to the customer. If this is the state now how will be the after sales service. I wouldn't have utter a word about it if the dealer would have told me these things when I booked the motorcycle just 10 days ago.
I do not have any doubts with the quality of the motorcycle but this attitude of the dealership makes me upset. Many won't bother, but I do.
& for accessories, visit the showroom & check the pricing, with 20k saving, well, you may not be able to buy any
.

This kind of attitude from the dealers and of course the company surely drives many potential customers away. Time they grew up!Originally posted by abhijitkn View PostI really don't buy that. Re: DSK Benelli registers 300 bookings within a week of launch: xBhp News
Took a test ride of the TNT300 yesterday. The bike is heavy at 196 kgs but beautifully balanced as I didn't notice that even a little bit while riding. The exhaust sound is amazing almost like a inline4, looks like they have done some smart work on the exhaust delivery system since no twin gives out such a note.
The bike looked quite beautifully designed overall though there are some fittings which are not up to the mark. The console is also good and the seating is upright and well suited for touring and city riding.
The only thing which kind of disappointed me was the ride itself, the gears are quite short and even for short distances there was a need to change gears frequently to get it going smooth. It feels sluggish at lower rpms and it get the desired pull only past 5k rpm I think. The TD was short like 0.5kms so I couldn't even test all gears or rev it more because of traffic. The handling is quite good and the engine seems quite refined as there were hardly any vibrations even in lower gears.
Below are some pics of the display piece, it comes in read/green/black colours-

I don't think that green was required. White tnt300 looks much better and catchy than this weired color.
