Bajaj is currently producing close to 91000 units per month from its Chakan fascilities and plans to increase the production capacity for the Pulsar series. The three plants of Bajaj have a production capacity of 3.25 Lakh units per month. Sales for the entry level 100cc bikes have been steadily declining and the company is keeping a wary eye on this segment to change their production capacity.
The Pulsar series on the other hand has kept the Pune based firm optimistic with the recent launches of the Pulsar RS200, AS200 and AS150. The future sees another Pulsar being launched in the next couple of months, while the bigger Pulsars, the 375cc bikes are expected to be available later in this calendar year.
