A massive 7% drop for BAL year-on-year, inspite of great sales for the NS and Duke combined?

It Seems that most people are still inclined towards 'Hero" & "Honda"

Bajaj's Commuter segment sales would increase if they start providing Tubeless tire option for top models in each segment, considering its already high price tag. I have seen many people opting for Honda(Shine, Yuga) for its tubeless tires itself.
TVS Has survived from loosing the market share further, solely due to Jupiter.
Good to know, Centuro doing well. Seeing many of them or road now a days.
Hero is still enjoying Customer Loyalty.

Even though Hero has retained the #1 spot in terms of sales, they are still on a downward trend. Hopefully the refreshed designs for their commuter bikes will help them grow. Unsure how the new Karizmas would fare - guess they'll find takers inspite of their quirky styling.

Karizma's were or never will be the biggest share of Hero's sales..the main bread & butter for Hero is its commuter segment..so I guess even if new Karizma won't do well, Hero won't get affected badly!!

Honda has started eating the pie from both Bajaj and Hero. Yamaha will follow the trend I guess.

That's quite surprising actually, looking at the numbers of FZs and R15s running around in our cities. But where they have missed out is the sales in rural areas and that's where Hero and Bajaj have managed to rack up big volumes in the past.

King maker is 100cc segment which is hero's forte right from the start. Even after launching n number of discovers and platinas bajaj sales are not picking up. I think 75-80% motorcycles sales are coming from 100-125cc segment where yamaha is almost absent. Rural approach of yamaha is also very weak and that is why their sales are coming from big cities only.

it seems bajaj is on a decline since so many months.

Duke sales do not count in bajaj sales and anyway it is not a big number. NS is not giving any chartbuster sales either.

however, it seems this decline in bajaj is more because of scooters onslaught.

So where do all those thousands of Dukes and (hopefully) dozens of Ninjas figure in this infographic?
