    Sales Reports: May 2015.

Another hot summer month, and the 2 wheelers sales as usual prove to be a mixed bag for almost all.

One year has completed, since Hero Motocorp set the sales charts on the brightest fire we ever saw in the 2 wheeler industry.
For Hero, its a story of "We've touched the sky. How to go beyond it?". After reaching a staggering 6 lakh Two-wheelers in the same month last year, the growth is more or less stagnant. Since these are bikes dispatched to dealers, we can't exactly call it a decline. Rather, call it a much expected stagnancy in growth.

Bajaj Auto, while reporting an overall decrease, is much happier with its position in the entry level segment.

Honda again, presents a mixed bag report. Scooters continue to get public love, while motorcycles see a decline in front of the cut-throat competition. No worries though.

Seeing TVS recover is a sigh of relief, but only time can tell its consistency.

Suzuki's growth rate must now increase by a bigger margin, given their size & sales volume. It is ok for small manufacturers to post bigger growth in sales, because this only shows their initial growth.

Royal Enfield's production is better now & demand has mostly always been high, so expect seeing big growth numbers for Royal Enfield in the coming months too. This month, Royal Enfield has posted the highest growth rate.

Talking about initial growth, Mahindra it seems, has to work really hard now. They're seriously declining. This year, they report a decline in percentage sales compared to same month last year.
It is noteworthy that in 2014, they had gained 131% over the same month in 2013. This year, their sales just drowned for whatever reason.
From whatever little experience I have, Mahindra is on danger line, as far as Two wheelers are concerned. They're the newest here, and they posted impressive growth, but that is disappearing. Meanwhile, their expected flagship Mojo is seen more in Autoshows and tests, rather than showrooms. Let's hope they recover.

Suzuki has done remarkably well. On the other hand, its time for Mahindra to do something substantial.
