Hero MotoCorp, Indian two-wheeler giant has started its operations at Colombia Plantfirst outside India facility which has been built at an investment of USD 70 million.
The new facility will also act as a export hub for Central and South American markets17 acres at Villa Rica in the state of Cauca, will be having an initial production capacity of 80,000 units per annum which will be expanded to 1,50,000 units later in the next phase.
The plant was inaugurated by Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos in presence of the government officials of this country and Hero officials. This plant will provide employment to 2,200 people.
