    Hero Electric, leading electric two-wheeler maker is eyeing more online marketplaces to increase its sales, this includes ShopClues, Homeshop18 and Rediff.com.

    The company tied up with Snapdeal last year and reported a sales rise of 25 per cent within the year via online sales.

    Sohinder Gill, Hero Electric CEO, said:
    "We witnessed a very impressive average quarterly growth rate of 150 per cent in online sales after joining hands with Snapdeal. To further leverage the potential of the virtual platform, we aim to sell our bikes through more websites that have a huge customer base."
    Commenting on the tie up with ShopClues, Nitin Kochhar, AVP said:
    "Our consistent endeavour is to bring the best cost effective deal to the customer's doorstep. We are delighted with the successful partnership with Hero Electric, the veritable leader in the revolutionary e-two wheeler space."
    Hero Electric's range of two wheelers are manufactured at its facility in Ludhiana. It offers eight models priced between Rs 22,000 and Rs 52,000.

      With their sales stagnant, stocks tumbling and future products nowhere in sight, how much of a good decision is it to put their sales might into e-kart partnerships and how long till the physical dealership owners get pissed about this decision costing them business and eventually turning on the company?
