I doubt the Benelli guys in Italia havent thought about that yet...Their bikes are more of an off-roader with the TRE-K series and TNTs as street fighters. And to make this as track focussed machine, you got to loose some serious weight, to do that, you need super steel or aluminium structure frames and light-weight components, which may incurr more cost and ultimately when they are in a brand/image building phase, I doubt if they would price their machine that high for competing against established brands in our country.
