    Honda sells 3lakh bikes during Navaratri

    Compared to last year more than 50,000 two wheelers have been sold this Navratra.

    Honda has also crossed sales mark of 90,000 on Dusshera. Which is the highest single day sales for Honda 2 Wheelers in 2015. The Western region led the sales figures followed by North, Central and South India.

    The growing trend of scooterization made Honda to achieve 35% growth in the retail sales of gear less scooters.

    Mr. Yadvinder S. Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said:
    Honda 2 wheelers has also rolled out finance tie-ups with Muthoot Finance, Andhra Bank and Shri Ram Finance for this festive season.

        Not really good with dates, so how long was this Navratri-Dusshera period on the calender?

          3 lacs bikes in 10 days is an amazing feat.

          I bought my CBR150 on the first day of the navratras i.e. 14/10/2015 and the dealership was flooded with people taking deliveries of their 2 wheelers. Took 3 hours for documentation process instead of the displayed 60 mins delivery from walk in to ride out.

            Would love to see the newly purchased CBR 150R photos in ownership thread. Do post some pics if possible.

              Is there a reason you hurried up with the purchase? Why did you not wait for Delhi Expo in Feb? Congrats on the purchase either way.

                    I checked out the Honda CBR150R and it ticked all the boxes. New bikes showcased at the expo in Feb 2016 won't make it till May 2016 (thats the minimum and the wait may even last till the end of 2016 or start of 2017) and then too I won't be the one to line up for the first batches that usually have some niggling issues. Secondly, each day without a bike in my garage was feeling like a year. A wait of 6-8 months seemed like impossible even though the bike was meant mainly to be a weekend ride.

                    Even if I waited till the expo, I would have only waited for the new CBR150R with twin headlamps. I don't see Honda bringing this to the market for atleast another 1 year and I am happy with current design though the twin headlamp version looks slightly better.

                      I knew about Navratri but I thought Dusshera was a few days after that. Yeah 10 days and 3 lakhs is a big number.
