Its a welcome move to save the environment and our health
Being a delhi resident and daily office commuter we know the problems we are going to face due to this rule. Our transportation system is not capable to handle the existing load of commuters for example Delhi metro is already stuffed with people during weekdays/office hours that you feel suffocated to stand inside. Add to that the misbehavior of our 'civilized' citizens who will blindly push and even make you fall if you aren't prepared. I have seen senior citizens falling due to this. So a person who travels by his own vehicle will never want to face such uncomfortable mode of transportation and would not like to be pushed around.
Also imagine the increase in the no. of commuters in metro and other public transport from tomorrow when the rule applies, this will only worsen the situation.
Funny part - Just because i am not a Women or a person who own a bike(sold it damn!) i am going to face this problem.
So the problem is genuine if people are cribbing due to this rule. People sitting in other cities and commenting what is right or wrong do not have any idea about the state of public transport in Delhi.
Its a welcome move if things are planned and infrastructure is ready to support such things. Heck other countries have even made public transport free on such days to promote it. What do we get?

. So you see where the problem lies.
