Alright bikers, we're pretty much close to 23rd February when the Ather S340, a finished product born from the initial dreams and ideas of a good electric scooter, will be launched.

For those who have still missed the news, Ather Energy is a Flipkart-funded startup which aims to make an electric scooter, but unlike any other. This scooter will be able to match outright performance of the common 110cc scooters. The batteries are said to be the long lasting kind. Plus, it aims to bring a connected scooter, a scooter that will probably have something like an Android device working on its console, or something, and it would be able to download riding algorithms from the internet for better mileage or performance or other riding attributes, as desired. It has gone through racetrack and endurance testing! The outright power may be around 8 bhp, but the maximum torque could be around 110NM, from what we heard.
Of course, the final product may or may not have the above attributes, but this is what we could recollect from the inputs we received.
Yes, we followed this product's development from an idea to a product.. The Ather S340 is unveiling on February 23rd at the Surge Conference, Bangalore!
What is Surge, you ask? Surge is the Web Summit's first conference in India, whose previous events have been attended by Fortune 500 companies like Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, Google, and other giants like Uber and Tesla Motors.
