ID:	1995187 The Company has reported that they are working on the BS-IV emission norms issue and will launch the bike in Delhi very soon.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan is powered by a new long stroke LS 410 engine that delivers high torque and usable power at lower RPMs. This makes for smooth riding in higher gears at lower speeds, making it easy to climb hills, or to maneuver through traffic. Modern design and materials of the engine translate to increased efficiency and low maintenance, and the engine can go 10,000 kilometers between oil changes.

Royal Enfield Himalayan will be available in Bangalore for Rs. 184,316 (on-road), in Kolkata for Rs. 181,517 (on-road), in Chennai for Rs. 175,840 (on-road), in Hyderabad for Rs. 176,580 (on-road), in Pune for Rs. 170,362 (on-road) and in Navi Mumbai for Rs. 171,065 (on-road).

Other two-wheelers like Bajaj V15 and Suzuki Access 125 have also hit a similar speed breaker. Both the two-wheelers comply with BS-III and cannot be sold in New Delhi as the transport authorities are not permitting the registration.

Although Bajaj announced in January this year that they have the technology and they can roll out new engines in a span of just four months.

On one side, i feel this is silly politics to restrict BS-3 vehicles just in Delhi and it makes me laugh.
But on the other side, I feel sad that we still continue to pollute the environment.

Middle finger to politics and 9fail politicians. I have never seen any one checking the trucks and buses which, when accelerate leaves a kilo of residue behind, bikes causes less pollution than these big vehicles if compared 1 on 1 and not by people carrying capacity. If cleaning is the moto then start with the big ones first. None of their catalytic converter works I guess.😤

What about the rest of the bikes present in the market ?
            Ktm's and Kawasaki's etc

The RE guy told me that if the BS lV norms start by 1st april then none of the RE models would sell.

Other brands fulfill the criteria ?
