Rashmi Urdhwareshe, director, ARAI, said:
However, for two-wheelers, ARAI does not have a dedicated test track of its own, and uses the test track at VRDE (Vehicles Research & Development Establishment, a lab belonging to DRDO), Ahmednagar which is currently being upgraded.
The timeline for the new regulations is directly associated with readiness of test track at VRDE. Once the preliminary changes are in place, the implementation could come in early 2017.

I have a Duke 390, and even on a rainy day, I just engage both the brakes and stop in a straight line: No skidding or anything. Its definitely safe.
ABS could fail, so skill yes. but again it could affect the future younger gen who start riding immediately on these abs equipped bikes maybe say in 5 years from now. For the others who have been riding for a while now, the failure of ABS especially on the 125's , 150's will have a lesser impact on their braking capabilities.
